Peter Landsmann
CGTF Level III Member, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Peter Landsmann has a generation of experience in the golf industry. He started in the early 1950’s as a caddy, later as buyer of equipment for a major department store, and for the past dozen years has been a Certified Golf Teaching Professional®. He is currently senior instructor for the City of Mississauga and teaches at the Bathgate Golf Range in that city.

Peter believes that “golf is a game for a lifetime and takes a lifetime to learn.” He feels that a good golf teaching professional will make students comfortable from the very first meeting, outlining the lesson plan and goals to be achieved at each session.

When asked about his approach to golf instruction, Peter is a walking example that the old saying of “do as I say” does not apply when it comes to golf.

“We, as pros, must be able to precisely demonstrate what we ask our students to do, as often as necessary,” he says. “I encourage my clients to ask for repeat demonstrations in order that they fully grasp the precise action of all the components of the swing.”
